What we do
How it helps.
Moisture in building materials plays a huge role in energy loss. Mineral building materials, such as clay, natural stone, slate and terracotta, transfer heat much quicker when wet. Just a 5% damp content can lower the thermal resistance by up to 50%.
Once applied, the clear coating chemically reacts and actively bonds to the surface. Rainfall will no longer be absorbed, instead, the surface will repel water, causing the water to form beads that simply run off, keeping the surface dry.
Protection:
It extends the life span of all mineral building surfaces including roof tiles, by slowing down the ageing or wearing process.
Breathable:
There is no restriction on air and moisture escaping. It does not block the pores of the surface. It has an SD value of 0.03, far greater than 0.50 which is considered breathable.
Self-Cleaning:
Treated surfaces remain clean and attractive – dirt is washed away with rainfall. The growth of unsightly moss, algae or lichens is made difficult.

ProPERLA Water Repellent has been tested and certified in accordance with EN1504-2: 2005, confirming depth of penetration, water absorption, resistance to alkali, drying rate and thermal conductivity.
Super Hydrophobic:
Super hydrophobic surfaces repel water. Water forms as beads because it is more attracted to itself than the surface. This means water will run off the surface making it extremely difficult to wet.
